On September 7-8, 2023, an international scientific and practical conference “Biotechnology and Biosafety achievements and development prospects” was held, dedicated to the 65^th anniversary of the Scientific Research Institute for Biological Safety Problems SRIBSP (formerly NISHI) in Almaty. The participants of this conference were: Director General of KazSRVI LLP Kasenov Marhabat Melisbekovich, Deputy Director General for the Development of Production and Commercialization of scientific developments Nurpeisova Ainur Sultanovna, as well as young scientists of the Institute. During the conference, reports of scientists from all over the world (USA, France, Philippines, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, etc.) were presented and heard, and a competition was held for the best report among young specialists under 35 years of age. The competition was attended by a young specialist of KazSRVI LLP, head of the virology laboratory Kirpichenko V.V. According to the competition results, Vladimir Kirpichenko took second place and was awarded a Diploma and a smartphone. Congratulations to SRIBSP on a great holiday, and to the competition winner with a well-deserved award.
