According to the order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 591 dated December 25, 2024, the Republican Competition Commission awarded the "Best Researcher" award in 2024 to 50 scientists who have made a significant contribution to the development of national science. Among the awardees is the Deputy General Director for Scientific Activities of our Institute, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Abdybekova Aida Makenovna.

The regular training of scientific staff of Kazakh Scientific Research Veterinary Institute LLP on the cycle "Biological Safety" at the international training center of the M. On November 15-17, 2024, the international forum "The 2nd Animal Disease and One Health Forum" was held in Nanjing, China, organized by the editorial board of the journal Animal Diseases (a peer-reviewed academic journal of open access, Q1) in cooperation with Huazhong Agricultural University. Its aim was to strengthen research and control of animal diseases and related aspects of public health within the framework of the "One Health" concept. This international forum was attended by scientists of KazSRVI LLP - Deputy General Director for the development of production and commercialization of scientific developments Nurpeysova A.S. and senior researcher Abay Zh.S. The RENOFARM Youth Poster Competition, organized by FAO for young scientists from all over the world, took place within the framework of the forum. Zh.S. Abay became the winner of the second prize, having delivered a scientific report on the results of research on animal diseases, within the framework of the "Unified Health" concept.

This year, M.R. Yusupov, an employee of KazSRVI LLP, completed a professional development program as part of a scientific internship at the International Vaccine Center in South Korea and received the certificate "GxP 2024: Introduction to Standard Practice". The course covered topics related to clinical, industrial and laboratory practice (GLP, GMP, GCP) of developing and manufacturing vaccines that comply with international GxP standards, as well as the basics of biosafety.

Kazakh Scientific Research Veterinary Institute LLP completes the year 2024 with successful achievements in the development of science and education. From 2021 to 2024, a laboratory twinning project was successfully implemented under the auspices of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH). The participants were: The National Veterinary Institute, Pulawy (Poland), the Agency for Animal and Plant Health, Weybridge (Great Britain) and the Kazakh Scientific Research Veterinary Institute (Kazakhstan). The aim of the project was to improve the diagnosis of bovine enzootic leukemia. Thanks to international cooperation, it was possible to introduce new methods and improve the competencies of specialists. The laboratory twinning project was completed with certification in Paris on November 11, 2024.

On December 18-19, 2024, at our institute, a training was held for 24 employees of NSCOOI, NCB and KazNIVI on the topic: “Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).” The training was conducted by Dubeshko S.Yu., JSC “Scientific Center of Anti-Infective Drugs”.

December 13, 2024 our institute hosted the scientific and practical conference for young scientists and specialists,’’Youth in Science – 2024’’, dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the conference, 14 presentations were delivered. Representatives from the following organizations participated with their reports: Kazakh Research Veterinary Institute, Almaty Branch of the National Center for Biotechnology, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, Institute of Microbiology and Virology.

This week, the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov hosted a seminar on bird health in Kazakhstan "Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology in Medicine and Veterinary Medicine" for students, organized by KEMIN BIOLOGICS. At the seminar with a report on the topic: "High- and low-pathogenic avian influenza in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was made by V.V. Kirpichenko, an employee of KazSRVI LLP.

The I International Congress of Young Scientists, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding geologist, academician, and first president of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, Kanysh Satpayev, was organized under the slogan "Young Satpayev Scholars" on November 21–22, 2024, at the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The congress brought together young scientists from Kazakhstan, CIS countries, foreign nations, and the International Academy of Agricultural Sciences (MAAN), as well as university and research organization leaders, chairpersons, and members of the National Science Council, among others. As part of the congress, a scientific and educational exhibition of modern innovative developments was held, with participation from LLP "Kazakh Scientific Research Veterinary Institute."

Specialists and researchers of the Kazakh Scientific Research Veterinary Institute completed training in order to improve their skills in the "Biological Safety" cycle and received Certificates. The training sessions were conducted by the staff of the international training center of the M. Aikimbayev National Scientific and Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The scientific staff of «KazSRVI» LLP are undergoing regular training in order to improve their skills in the "Biological Safety" cycle. Training sessions and seminars are conducted by the staff of the international training center of the M. Aikimbayev National Scientific Center of Especially Dangerous Infections of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In accordance with the additions and amendments to the Order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 31, 2011 No.128 on the assignment of academic titles (professor) dated January 9, 2023 No.7, the Academic Council of the “Kazakh Scientific Research Veterinary Institute” LLP publishes the reference and the list of scientific works candidates of agricultural sciences Hamit Ablgazinovich Aubakirov for the title of associate professor in the scientific direction of animal husbandry and zootechnics 40200.

«Kazakh Scientific Research Veterinary Institute» LLP held a hearing at a collective meeting of the Message of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan «Fair Kazakhstan: law and order, economic growth, public optimism». The issues of healthcare, agriculture and science, social issues voiced in the President's Address were discussed and information and explanatory work was carried out.

In honor of the celebration of the Day of the Veterinary Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is celebrated on July 10, a number of veterans of veterinary medicine: veterans of the branch "South Kazakhstan Scientific Research Veterinary Station"; Head of the Turkestan branch "CVCS" of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan RSU "Republican antiepizootic detachment"; Director of the South Kazakhstan regional branch of the RSU at the Republican Veterinary Laboratory, The head of the territorial veterinary inspection of Shymkent "CVCS" of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan was awarded letters of thanks from the General Director of “KazSRVI” LLP M.M. On June 27, 2024 the Minister of Health of RK Alnazarova A.Sh. made a working trip to Almaty, during which the Minister of Health visited the Kazakh Scientific Research Veterinary Institute together with the General Director of JSC "National Holding "QazBioPharm" Abduraimov Yergali Orynbasarovich. During the meeting with the Minister was assessed the work carried out by KazSRVI and discussed the development plan for the next five years and ways to solve current issues.

On July 4, 2024, a delegation from China led by Gao Fu, Director General of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, also a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the World Academy of Sciences, the US National Academy of Medicine, and the National Academy of Sciences, arrived at the Kazakh National Agricultural Research University on an official visit USA. The delegation included famous scientists from the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences:professors Wang Han, Wang Likui, Bi Yuhai, as well as the Consul of the People's Republic of China in Almaty Zhang Wei. From the Kazakh side, representatives of the leadership of KazNAIU, the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and representatives of scientific institutes of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the meeting. During the meeting they discussedissues of strengthening and developing cooperation between KazNAIU and educational and scientific institutions of China and Kazakhstan. Both sides expressed interest and intentions in developing mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.

On June 14, 2024, in honor of the Medical Workers Day, «KazSRVI» LLP held a ceremony honoring the scientists of the Institute - Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Aspen Abutalip was awarded the badge "Enbek Ardageri", Doctor of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Baramova Sholpan Auzarovna and Candidate of Veterinary Sciences Suschikh Vlada Yuryevna were awarded certificates of honor.

May 31, 2024 in the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting of the Head of State Qasym-Jomart Kemelevich Toqayev with young scientists. The young specialists and our institute took part in the event. The President of the Republic noted the importance of the development of science and education in the country, emphasizing that scientists, engineers and inventors play a key role in the future of Kazakhstan. In his speech, Qasym-Jomart Kemelevich highlighted the need to create conditions for scientific research and innovation, as well as support for young professionals. One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of housing certificates to 10 young scientists. This step symbolizes the support of the state and its leadership of young specialists, relieving them of worries about housing and allowing them to focus on work and development. The meeting ended with the young scientists expressing their gratitude for the state's attention and support.

During 15-16 May 2024, the final meeting of the Twinning Project on International collaboration with the Reference Laboratory of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) on Animal Enzootic Bovine Leukosis was held. The next meeting on the twinning project was attended by experts from WOAH - Dr. Kuzmak, M. Rola-Lushchak (National Veterinary Research Institute, PIWET, Pulawy, Poland) and B. Chowdhury (Animal and Plant Health Agency, UK) subregional representative of WOAH for Central Asia Taitubayev M.K., as well as employees and scientists of virology laboratory of LLP «KazSRVI». The main purpose of the next visit of the experts of WOAH is to summarize the results of the collaboration and confirm the ability of KazSRVI to carry out serological and molecular research of the leukemia virus KRS in accordance with the standards of the OIE reference laboratories. To obtain the status of Regional Reference Laboratory on Enzootic Bovine Leukosis for the Central Asian Countries LLP «KazSRVI» the meeting was successfully held, the experts of the WOAH were noted the appropriate equipment of the laboratory, established quality management system of the Institute and high level of professional training of KazSRVI employees.

On May 21, 2024, under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in Zhambyl region, in the Taraz city, Taraz Regional University named by M.H. Dulati convened a field meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan on the topic of 'Strong regional science - strong region'. There was organized a forsyth-session on the topic «Frontier of Agro-industrial complex» and scientific-innovative exhibition, where the results of research works, products and technologies ready for commercialization were presented. «KazSRVI» LLP took part in the event and demonstrated its research developments to the agrarians at the exhibition. The meeting considered and discussed the main and important problematic issues of agricultural development in the region with the creation of a local knowledge dissemination system for fruitful and close interaction between business structures and local farmers

Within the framework of the Project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project "Sustainability of the local health system in Kazakhstan", the RSE at the National Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan held in Almaty on April 22-26, in offline format, training cycles on the topic "Quality management system in laboratory service" for specialists and representatives of various departments of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of these short-term training courses is to strengthen the human resources potential of three sectors (the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan) to combat emerging and endemic zoonotic diseases and other threats at the intersection of humans, animals and the environment. The program is implemented within the framework of the "Unified Health" concept, focused on ensuring a high level of quality of laboratory services and achieving optimal research results in the quality management system in the laboratory. Employees of KazSRVI - Leading researcher of Virology Laboratory Mamanova S.B., senior laboratory assistant at the brucellosis laboratory Matalipova M. participated in this educational program and received certificates of advanced training.

On 12 April 2024, the Young Scientists Summit was held in Astana city, organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC "Science Foundation". The Young Scientists Summit is an annual event that brings together talented young scientists of Kazakhstan from various scientific fields. The main objective of the summit is to stimulate interaction between young scientists by providing them with an opportunity to exchange experience and knowledge in various disciplines. The format of the Young Scientists Summit consists of two parts. The start was on 12 April on Science Day in Astana, the follow up of the summit is planned for 25-26 April in the city of Turkestan. Young scientists of "KazSRVI" LLP took an active part in this summit: Akshalova Perizat Batyrkhankyzy, Zhaksylykova Ainur Abzalkyzy & Abay Zhandos.
